Featured Author Interview: Lisa Harris

Lisa Harris is an award-winning author of more than twenty novels and novellas, who lives with her husband and their three children in Mozambique, Africa, where they work as missionaries.

Lisa is a wife, mom,  teacher, author, dreamer, photographer, but most importantly a follower of Christ Jesus.

She currently lives with her  husband, Scott, near the Indian Ocean in Mozambique as church-planting missionaries. Two of their three children are attending a missionary boarding school, while she homeschools their daughter.

When she's not working she loves hanging out with her family, cooking different ethnic dishes, photography, and heading into the African bush on safari.

Featured Author Interview: Elizabeth Ludwig

Elizabeth Ludwig is an award-winning author whose work has been featured on Novel Rocket, the Christian Authors Network, and The Christian Pulse.

In 2012, the popular Edge of Freedom series released from Bethany House Publishers. Books one and two, No Safe Harbor and Dark Road Home, respectively, earned 4 Stars from the RT Book Reviews. Book three, Tide and Tempest, received top honors with 4 1/2 Stars.

Elizabeth is an accomplished speaker and teacher, often attending conferences and seminars where she lectures on editing for fiction writers, crafting effective novel proposals, and conducting successful editor/agent interviews. Featured Author Interview: Terri Blackstock

Terri Blackstock is a New York Times best-seller, with over six million copies sold worldwide. She is the winner of two Carol Awards, a Christian Retailers Choice Award, and a Romantic Times Book Reviews Career Achievement Award, among others. She has had over twenty-five years of success as a novelist.

In 1994 Terri was writing romance novels under two pseudonyms for publishers such as HarperCollins, Harlequin, Dell and Silhouette, when a spiritual awakening prompted her to switch gears. At the time, she was reading more suspense than romance, and felt drawn to write thrillers about ordinary people in grave danger. Her newly awakened faith wove its way into the tapestry of her suspense novels, offering hope instead of despair. Her goal is to entertain with page-turning plots, while challenging her readers to think and grow. She hopes to remind them that they’re valued by God and that their trials have a purpose.

Featured Author Interview: Robbie Cheuvront

Robbie Cheuvront is the author of The Guardian and Worship Pastor of North Point Church in Corona, California, and was previously at The Journey Church in Lebanon, Tennessee. He is married and has two beautiful children, a boy and a girl. 

Before going into ministry full time, Robbie was a professional musician on the road for about 10 years, where he played bass guitar and sang in the band Lonestar. He traveled the world and experienced many different cultures.

Robbie has always been an avid reader, and after being a professional song writer for several years, decided to try his hand at a novel. Robbie and his co-author and partner in ministry, Pastor Erik Reed, came up with the idea for their first novel, The Guardian, a few years ago. Their publisher, Barbour Books, released their next book in September 2012, Fall, the first in The 13 series, with the conclusion, Stand, published in November 2013.

Featured Author Interview: Rene Gutteridge

Rene Gutteridge is the author of more than a dozen novels, including suspense fiction and comedic fiction, and one novelization. Her comedy novel, Skid, has been adapted into a movie.

Rene's latest releases are Misery Loves Company, Heart of the Country, Escapement, Possession and Listen, from Tyndale House Publishers. Her other suspense titles include the Storm Series, plus her very first novel, Ghost Writer (Bethany House Publishers).

She is also known as a comedy writer. Her latest comedic novels are Never the Bride (winner of the 2010 Carol Award for best women's fiction), and Greetings from the Flipside, both co-written with screenwriter Cheryl McKay (of The Ultimate Gift). Her other comedy titles from WaterBrook/Multnomah Publishers include the Boo Series and the Occupational Hazards series.

Featured Debut Novelist: Jordyn Redwood

Jordyn Redwood is a pediatric ER nurse by day, suspense author at night. As a self professed medical nerd and trauma junkie, she was drawn to the controlled chaotic environments of critical care and emergency nursing.

Featured Debut Novelist: Patrick W. Carr

Patrick W. Carr teaches high school math and is the author of the fantasy series The Staff and the Sword from Bethany House Publishers.

Patrick was born on an Air Force base in West Germany at the height of the cold war. He has been told this was not his fault. As an Air Force brat, he experienced a change in locale every three years until his father retired to Tennessee.

Patrick saw more of the world on his own through a varied and somewhat eclectic education and work history. He graduated from Georgia Tech in 1984 and has worked as a draftsman at a nuclear plant, did design work for the Air Force, worked for a printing company, and consulted as an engineer.
